At Barklingtons, I know your pets are family – and that family deserves the best. My passion is ensuring that every dog gets the attention, stimulation, and love they need, whether they’re running through the countryside on a group adventure or enjoying a gentle bimble through the woods at their own pace.
My personalised pet sitting and walking services are designed to fit your busy life while giving your furry friend a happy, fulfilling experience every time.
Safety, reliability, and a whole lot of tail-wagging fun are at the heart of what I do.
No more than 4 furry friends per group, ensuring every dog gets my full attention and care. We venture into the lush countryside, woodlands, and riverside paths for an exciting 1-hour walk.
Each pup wears a Roam locator tag for the ultimate in safety.
Expect them to come home rinsed off, towel-dried, and ready for a nap – after all, they’ve had a fun, interactive walk complete with treats, fresh water, and lots of stimulating play!
One Dog, 1 hour: £14
Two Dogs, 1 hour: £21
Just like the active pack walks, but at a very relaxed pace.
This service is designed for older, less mobile or younger pups who still love to get out, but need to take it easy.
Each pup wears a Roam locator tag for the ultimate in safety.
I cover shorter distances while giving your furrbaby plenty of opportunities to socialise and enjoy the outdoors
One Dog, 30 mins: £10
Two Dogs, 30mins: £15
When life gets busy, my drop-in visit service is here to help.
I'll pop by to feed, dispense meds, treats, refresh water, clear up any mess, let your pet out and finish with play and cuddles, giving your pet love and companionship when you can’t be there.
With photo updates, you can rest easy knowing they’re loved and in good hands.
£11 for 30 minutes.
£19 for two visits per day.
£25 for morning or evening sit (4 hours).
Keep your pets happy at home while you're away! My pet sitting service ensures your cat, dog or small pet stays comfortable in their own familiar surroundings, avoiding the stress of kennels or catteries. Also perfect if you have a pet who needs more attention than kennels or a cattery can give.
I keep to your pet’s normal daily routine, give them lots of love, administer meds if needed, and I'll even take care of little household things such as emptying bins, watering plants and bringing in parcels/post. I will stay in your property overnight whilst you're away.
A daily 1-hour walk is included for dogs.
£40 per 24hrs for dogs and other pets.
£30 per 24hrs for cats and/or other pets.
How many dogs do you walk at once?
I never walk more than 4 dogs at a time to ensure each pup receives my full attention and care.
Where do you take the dogs on walks?
I explore a variety of local locations, including lush countryside, woodlands, and riverside paths to keep the walks exciting and stimulating for the dogs.
How is the group bimble dog walk different from the regular group walk? The group bimble is slower-paced and covers a shorter distance, giving senior or less mobile pups the chance to enjoy the outdoors without overexertion. Also perfect for very young dogs.
What if my dog has special mobility needs?
I adjust my group bimble walks to suit each dog's energy levels & mobility needs.
Will my dog get along with the other dogs in the group?
I assess each dog's temperament at our initial meet and greet before placing them, ensuring a happy, well-matched pack. I only group dogs with other similar sizes, energy levels and temperaments.
Do you provide water and treats during the walk?
Yes! I always bring fresh water and plenty of healthy treats.
My dog has poor recall and needs to be kept on lead - is this okay?
Absolutely, I will do my best to cater for all your dogs needs.
My dog needs to wear a muzzle as he/she can be aggressive towards other dogs/people - can you still walk him/her? Yes, but I would need to keep your pooch on lead on a solo walk.
I own a banned dog breed - will you walk them?
Unfortunately, I am not insured to care for banned breeds.
I am concerned about my dogs safety and security. I understand that as an owner, you may sometimes worry about your dog's safety while they are in my care. I allow dogs to run and play freely, but your dog will be fitted with a Roam tracking device that clips onto their collar. This way, if a dog ever wanders out of my sight, I can track their location using my phone, giving you peace of mind knowing they’re safe and sound. During Winter when we are walking in darker mornings / evenings then your dog will be fitted with an LED light for visibility.
What time are the walks?
I schedule up to 4 walks a day within the following time slots:
8am-10am: Active Walk
10am-1pm: Bimble Walk
1pm-3pm: Active Walk
3pm-5pm: Bimble Walk
What does a drop-in visit include?
My drop-in visits include feeding & refresh of water, letting your pet out for the toilet or a 10-min short walk, basic clean up of pet soiling, playtime, cuddles, administering medication if needed, and plenty of love and attention.
I own a banned dog breed - can you still care for them?
Unfortunately, I am not insured to care for banned breeds.
How long is each visit?
Each drop-in visit is 30 minutes. If you need two visits in a day, I offer a discounted rate.
Will I get updates during the visit?
Yes! I provide photo and text updates so you can see how your pet is doing for that peace of mind.
How is pet sitting different from drop-in visits?
Pet sitting means I stay overnight in your home, keeping your pets company and keeping to their usual routine, ensuring they feel secure and happy while you're away.
What does overnight pet sitting include?
Overnight pet sitting includes feeding, medication administration, playtime, cuddles, a 1 hour daily walk for dogs. I also handle small household tasks like collecting post, watering plants, cleaning up after your pet and putting your bins out.
Is pet sitting suitable for pets that are anxious in new environments?
Yes! My pet sitting service is perfect for pets that get stressed in kennels or catteries. By staying in their own home, they stay comfortable and relaxed.
I own a banned dog breed - can you still sit them?Unfortunately, I am not insured to care for banned breeds.
Do you stay in my home the entire time?
I stay in your home overnight and spend quality time with your pets, ensuring they are well cared for and comfortable throughout your time away.
I'm interested in booking you. What happens next?
Book in a meet and greet with me. I will visit your home n a weekday evening to meet your pet, take some details and make sure we are a good fit. For walking, if your dog is a good fit, then I'll trial the first 3 walks on the lead to settle them into the appropriate group walk.
What forms of payment do you take?
Cash on the day, or electronic payment via my 'Walkies' mobile app.
When do you take payment?
Payments are either made in advance or on the day and also easily paid electronically via my 'Walkies' mobile app.
What are your cancellation terms?
I ask at least 24 hours notice if you wish to reschedule. Cancellations of less than 24 hours will not be rescheduled, unless you have an emergency. I do not offer refunds as, when you book, you are booking out my time to care for your pet. If I'm unable to provide a service, I will provide a refund and give as much advance notice as possible.

I could talk about my love for animals all day long, but why not let my happy clients do the talking! From wagging tails to big, cozy cuddles, here’s what you're saying about Barklingtons.
Spoiler alert: it’s full of smiles, snuggles, and plenty of pawsitive vibes!
We’re Pup and Flora, and we think aunty Lor is just the bestest! When mum's away, Lor keeps us at home, which is just how we like it. She makes sure we get all the love, walks, and treats we could ever need. We always feel safe and spoiled with Lor around, and Mum says we look super chilled out when she returns. We give Lor and Barklingtons two waggy tails up! 🐾
[Pet Sitting]
We're Kira and Sumi <pictured>, and we think Lor is the best human ever! She made sure we had plenty of walks, belly rubs, and all the treats while Mum and Dad were away. For over two years, she took us on the best of walks and always knew just how to keep us happy and comfy at home 🐾
[Pet Sitting, Drop Ins and Walks]
Mr Fong here. I’m always very disappointed when my primary human disappears. I suppose secondary human Lor does an adequate job. She meets my VIP requirements—with treats, door-opening duties (because I am far too important to use my cat flap) and my daily valet. She’s slightly better than adequate… actually, she’s almost purrfect. But don’t tell her I said that 😼
[Pet Sitting & Drop Ins]
I’m Albert, an elderly (and rather distinguished) cat! Whenever my humans went away, Lor stepped in to care for me, and I must say, she did a wonderful job. She made sure I got my medications on time, served my favorite treats, and always had time for plenty of cuddles—which I quite enjoyed. Lor has a gentle touch, and I felt very safe and loved when she was here 😻
[Pet Sitting & Drop Ins]
We’re Willow and Bracken. When Mum had to go away, Lor took over—and we couldn’t be happier! Willow was getting on in years, but Lor always made sure Willow had her meds and plenty of love. We loved that Lor kept to our routine just like Mum did, even letting us snuggle and sleep in the same bedroom with her. Walks, cuddles, and all the care we could want! We always felt safe and loved with Lor.🐾
[Pet Sitting & Drop Ins]
Hi, I’m Lor, the owner of Barklingtons!
I’ve always loved the outdoors, and nothing makes me happier than exploring the countryside with a furry friend by my side. I’ve shared part of my life with two incredible dogs: Minnie, a spirited Boston Terrier, and Shida, an energetic Siberian Husky. My partner and I trained them as therapy dogs and they brought joy to everyone they met. They were my loyal companions on countless adventures. Though Minnie and Shida are no longer with me, my love for exploring the outdoors with furry friends continues every day. I've also owned and loved many cats in my lifetime.
For over 7 years, I've been pet sitting and walking dogs, and nothing makes me happier than gaining the trust of pets and being welcomed as part of their family. Whether it’s giving a shy pet the space to come to me at their own pace or showering an enthusiastic one with affection, I’m here to make sure your pets are happy, comfortable, and well-loved 🐾❤
I'm a fully insured, trained and criminally checked Dog Walker and Pet Sitter.
